Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. She has been acclaimed by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). In New York, she was born into an creative family. She began as a photo assistant and then moved on to acting and modeling. Her first two movies were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three years, MacGraw was ranked as the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were engraved in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
