Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comedian and performer, is known for her part in the role of a cast member in 'Saturday Night Live.' She began her career in the theatre, but became interested in comedy when she was nine after a class in the art of improv. At first, she wanted to be an actress, but she realized that she had talent for comedy. Therefore, her focus changed from acting to Improv. She began her career performing aboard cruise ships along with performers from Second City Conservatory and iO Chicago. Strong was able to continue performing at large-scale events like Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest and Virgin Daiquiri which is an female-only improv troupe. In 2012, she became a celebrity following her appearance as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" during its 39th season, as a cast member, hosting Weekend Update with Seth Meyers first, as well as Colin Jost later. The role of Cecily in the episode "The Girls You Wouldn't start a conversation with in a Party' was the most memorable scene from her show. That same year, she also had her first film debut in the release of a short movie titled "How to Fund an Uterus'. She has openly spoken up against women being treated in the show business as mere girlfriends and bikini models as opposed to strong actors in mainstream films.
